How to Get to the Elio Grasso Estate

The winery is in quite an isolated position with respect to the historic centre of Monforte. To reach the estate from Barolo, you will have to turn left along the uphill road, and follow the indications just before the square for Castiglione Falletto. Follow the road for less than one kilometre, then turn right towards the districts of Castelletto and Perno. Proceed for about one and a half kilometres along the twisting road, which offers some magnificent views, and you will see a sign indicating the Elio Grasso cellar. The road takes you through chestnut woods before you emerge to be confronted by a superb natural amphitheatre of world-famous vineyards.
